June 2021 Israel Tour Postponed!

Shalom and Greetings! We are excited to bring you this tour of Israel of June 2021 which runs from Saturday the 26th of June 2021 to the 4th of July 2021, a total of 9 Days.

June 2021 Tour Itinerary

Departure from base on the evening of Friday 25th June, 2021 and then Arrival in Israel @ Ben Gurion Int’l Airport on Saturday 26 June 2021.  Meet & Welcome by Hepzibah Tours. “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” (Ps. 118:26) From Ben Gurion Airport, we drive to your hotel to get some rest.

Tel Aviv and the adjacent Jaffa (Act: 9:36, 10:5, 11:5, 11:13) visiting the local basilica built on the location of Simon the Tanner’s house where the impure animals vision took place. Travel onwards to Haifa, Israel’s largest port city, built on the slopes of Mt Carmel. We stop at the Elijah cave at Stella Marris and continue to Muhraka, the place of sacrifice and the site where Prophet Elijah defeated the False Prophets of Ba’al. Proceed to your hotel, check-in & have dinner.

Drive to Mt Tabor, the Mount of the Transfiguration (Matth. 17:1-8), wonderful panoramic view. We will continue to Nazareth to visit the basilica of the Annunciation and the nearby Church of St. Joseph with the traditional Home of the Holy Family. Visit Mary’s Well and drive through the beautiful landscape of Lower Galilee, the home to many of Jesus’s disciples. Visit Mt Precipice where the wrathful inhabitants of Nazareth wanted to cast Jesus down headlong. Cana – visit the Wedding Church.

Start the day with a boat trip across the Sea of Galilee, thereafter continue to St Peter for a mid-day stop. We will drive around the western shores to visit the pilgrim shrines in the area. Visit the Mt of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha to visit the Church of the Multiplication of ‘Loaves & Fishes’ and the nearby Chapel of the Primacy. Thereafter, visit the ruins of the ancient town of Capernaum which in Jesus’s day, was a flourishing border town, also known as “His own City” (Matth. 4:13). We will see the ancient synagogue and the “House of Peter”.

Drive to the Yardenit Baptism Site located on the banks of the Jordan River. Drive to Jericho the most ancient city in the world, stopping in the shade of sycamore tree, the kind which Zacchaeus climbed in order to see Jesus (Lk. 19:1-10). Ascend the Qarantal Monastery (by cable car). Drive on the Qumran pass where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found (no entrance). Then onwards to the shores of the Dead Sea to enjoy an afternoon swim in the natural wonder and unique waters of the Dead Sea. Travel to your hotel, check-in & have dinner.

Drive to Jerusalem, visit the Garden Tomb. We continue to Mt Zion to visit the Upper Room and the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu, which is built over the ruins of the Palace of Caiaphas, the place where the High Priest brought Jesus for his trial (Mark 14: 53-65). Visit Mahaneh Yehuda market, with authentic Jerusalem Restaurants, and food markets.

Bethlehem – we visit the Basilica of the Nativity where there will be the opportunity to kneel at the birthplace of Christ in the Grotto of the Nativity. Before leaving Bethlehem we visit the Fields of the Shepherds where the Angel of the Lord proclaimed the birth of the Messiah, the Savior of the World. Drive to Ein Karem where John Baptist was born, Church of St John the Baptist and Church of the Visitation.

Jerusalem – we drive to the top of the Mount of Olives where Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection. From the Mount we enjoy the magnificent view of all ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. We visit the holy shrines on the Mount and walk down the “Palm Sunday Road” visiting the Chapel of Dominus Flevit (Jesus wept) en route to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of all Nations where Christ prayed. We enter within the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem and walk in the footsteps of our Lord as he bore the burden of our sins to the Cross at Golgotha. We visit the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the man who had been crippled for 38 years (Joh. 5:1-9) and walk following the 14 stations of the Cross – Via Dolorosa – from Pilate’s Judgment Hall to the empty tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall).

Free time in Jerusalem before the transfer to the airport Check out from the hotel at 11 AM. Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for return flight home.

Highlight is a visit to the site where Prophet Elijah defeated the False Prophets of Ba’al. 

Day 3

Highlight of the day is a visit to the mount of transfiguration.

Day 4

Highlight is a Drive to the Yardenit Baptism Site located on the banks of the Jordan River as well as a visit to Jericho

Day 6
